In order by post apocalypse liquidity :
  • Trade goods - these are tools and supplies in addition to NEMA issue that most people will recognize value in. You may, but do not need to specify these. Subtract the value of any personal equipment from this amount.
  • Valuable jewelry - this is items of precious metals, stone, or decorative value. Also amusements and entertainment.
  • Cash on hand - cash is stored on a distributed computing based stores value card system where each card is actually a small computer that does some computation and forward enough data to effectively prevent counterfeiting. The system was always designed to function even with only sporadic connections and will far outstrip its designers goals. For the moment the challenge is not transferring credits but convincing anyone that they have value.
  • Cash in bank -- Under normal circumstances the cash in the bank is accessible through a debit card which connects to the bank accounts via the world wide network and could transfer directly to a "Cash" stored value card at anytime. Without the world wide network these cards read "error." Withdrawals can only be processed at the head branch of a bank where you have funds deposited.
  • Savers would have even more in investment and retirement funds, but we are not calculating those.
